How long have you been a photographer?
I started shooting when I was about 15 years old, and started studying Photography in University at 18.
I shot my first wedding 2 months into my first year of University and that was nearly 12 years ago!
Does your husband always shoot with you?
At weddings and (most) engagement sessions, yes! Otherwise I'm usually on my own unless I need some assistance.
Mitch does all of the editing/retouching on my/our images. He's in charge of giving the photos a mood. All those warm tones/colours you might *really* like - thank him :)
Where are you based out of? Will you travel for work?
I'm based out of Toronto, Ontario Canada but I am always happy to travel for work!
How do your payment schedules work? (Wedding)
I require 25% retainer to secure your spot on my calendar. The second payment is 50% and due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date.
The final 25% is due once we deliver your images.
Will lighting be an issue? (Wedding/Engagement)
No. I am confident in my ability to work with any lighting condition we happen to have on the day of your shoot. If indoor conditions require additional lighting, I am well-versed in using flash/studio strobes.
What if the weather is bad?
I always encourage welcoming whatever weather comes our way. Some of my favourite photos have come from rainstorms and blizzards.
But, if it's bad enough that it would make for an awful experience for everyone, then we can reschedule!
"You can just photoshop us, right?"
Although I do understand that we all have our insecurities; I also believe we're all unique and beautiful with or without the help of retouching. You do have my promise to highlight all of your favourite attributes and avoid any of your not so favourite ones.
With that being said; we will retouch any temporary blemishes that happen to be present on the day of your shoot (including bruises, scrapes, bumps, etc). I will not, however, alter the way you naturally look.
If you’re particularly self conscious about something, please let me know and I’ll be sure to be extra aware of that while I’m shooting you.
Do you give RAW unedited images?
No, as I believe that editing is a very crucial step and half the magic that goes into the images and without it, the photos are only halfway done. I promise to never leave out any worthy photos that you might want/need, and if you feel I missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’m more than happy to check back through my images just incase something was overlooked. I won’t let you miss out on your memories!
What if I need to cancel or reschedule our shoot?
If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date and have to move/cancel it, the deposit is non-refundable and a new deposit will have to be made in order to hold your new date
